Gay Pride London, the UK’s biggest LGBTQ+ celebration returned to the capitals streets after a two years absence due to Covid - to celebrate its 50th anniversary. The after party continued in Soho, which is the home of London's main gay and LGBTQ scene and is centred around Old Compton street, with its famous pubs and venues. There have been accusations of too much bandwagoning and corporate-virtue signalling by big businesses, who although they provide much needed sponsorship, have angered radical eliments of ‘The Gay Liberation Front’, who’s founders started the movement back in 1972. The TGLF also requested that uniformed police should not march in this years parade, in light of the ‘homophobic’ handling of the investigation into the serial killer Stephen Port. July 2 2022.
